Privacy Policy

This policy explains how BC Vacation Rental, operated by Miro Ceperkovic, handles information in connection with its vacation-rental operations and private business automations.

1. Scope

This policy applies to the operational website at platform.bcvacationrental.ca and to private integrations used by BC Vacation Rental. Our separate booking website and third-party booking channels may also be governed by the privacy terms presented during the reservation process.

2. Information we handle

Depending on how a guest contacts or books with us, we may handle names, email addresses, telephone numbers, reservation details, stay dates, guest counts, messages, preferences relevant to a stay, payment status, and operational notes. Payment-card information is processed by our booking and payment providers; we do not intentionally store complete payment-card numbers in our automation system.

3. Google user data

Our private Google integration may access Google Contacts, Google Sheets and Google Tasks associated with the operator's authorized Google account. We use this access only to maintain relevant contact records, update internal operational spreadsheets and create or manage business tasks required for vacation-rental operations.

Google user data is not sold, used for targeted advertising, or made available as a software service to outside customers. Access is limited to the operator and authorized service providers supporting these operations.

4. How information is used

To manage inquiries, reservations and guest communication.
To prepare and maintain our vacation-rental properties.
To coordinate operational tasks and maintain business records.
To detect errors, protect accounts and troubleshoot our systems.
To meet accounting, tax, safety and other legal obligations.

5. Service providers

We use service providers such as Hospitable for property and reservation management, Google for authorized productivity services, Render for hosting, n8n for workflow automation, and payment providers used by our booking service. These providers process information under their own terms and privacy commitments. We disclose only information reasonably necessary for the applicable service.

6. Storage and retention

Information may be stored in our booking platform, authorized Google account, automation database and operational records. We retain it only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide a stay, maintain appropriate business and accounting records, resolve disputes, protect our systems, and comply with legal obligations. Records that are no longer required are deleted or anonymized where practical.

7. Security

We use access controls, encrypted connections, managed hosting and limited account permissions intended to protect information. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, but we review access and correct known issues when discovered.

8. Your choices

You may contact us to ask about personal information we hold about you or to request correction or deletion, subject to information we must retain for legitimate business or legal reasons. You may revoke Google authorization at any time through your Google Account security settings if you are an authorized user of the integration.
